Fundraising Activities
Although partially funded by the Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage, we raise most of our own operating funds through fundraising. Check our Facebook page for the latest news, including weekly Cash Lottery winners.
Cash Lottery
Each year we sell 200 lottery tickets at $10.00 each. Each ticket gives the holder 8 weekly chances to win $100.00, drawn in July and August. To purchase a ticket, contact any staff member or member of the Board of Directors.
Penny Auction & Community Breakfast
On the third Saturday in July, we hold a Penny Auction in conjunction with one of the PM Hall's excellent breakfasts. Come early (7:00 – 10:30 AM) to enjoy eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, toast, juice, tea/coffee and local maple syrup. We have prizes for all ages, raffle tickets, and the draws are held after the breakfast at 11:00 AM.
Christmas in July Take-Out Tea
A tea of sandwiches and sweets along with beverages, with the museum decked out for Christmas. The Gift Shop is a great place to start some early Christmas shopping. A bake table may also be available.
“Talents and Treasures” Silent/Online Auction
An annual auction featuring talents and treasures from the community. Browse items and place your bids!
Blueberry Dessert Take-Out Tea
A tea of sandwiches and a blueberry dessert along with beverages. Held in September with meal pick-up from 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM.

Monetary Donations
Donations in the form of cash, cheque, or e-transfer (pmcmuseum3005@gmail.com) are gratefully accepted. Cheques may be made out to the Parkdale-Maplewood Community Museum or simply use PMCM. Donations may be mailed to us.
Income tax receipts will be issued for monetary donations and membership fees.
